New Zealand tennis No.1 Marina Erakovic was bundled out of the Strasbourg International in the first round in her last tournament before the French Open.

Erakovic, the tournament's sixth seed, was beaten by Japan's Ayumi Morita 6-1 6-3 in a rain-affected match which was completed on Wednesday (NZT).

Morita, the world No.88, has now beaten Erakovic, ranked 48 places ahead of her, in all their five meetings.

The French Open starts at Roland Garros on Sunday.
