Donnelly called into All Blacks squad

Yahoo! New Zealand Sport August 12, 2011, 8:48 am

Otago and 2010 All Blacks lock Tom Donnelly has been called into the All Blacks camp as injury cover for Jarrad Hoeata.

All Blacks Doctor Deb Robinson said: "Jarrad hurt his right shoulder in Taranaki's ITM Cup match against Bay of Plenty on Tuesday night and while he took part in All Blacks training yesterday afternoon, it was causing him enough concern to warrant further examination. He will get a scan in Auckland later today and we will then be able to assess how serious it is."

In the interim, Donnelly, who has played 15 Tests for the All Blacks, will train with the All Blacks squad at their final training run in Auckland today.

A decision on whether Hoeata is fit to travel to South Africa will be made later today.

Tom, these pampered goons as you call them play about 5 times as many games a year and at about 3 times the speed of the guys from 1956. The money I would pay to watch a plonker like you stand in front of Hoeata and tell him face to face that he is a pampered goon. Get back to your pipe and slippers you old fool.

back in the days when real men played the game--if you were injured you were taken off the playing area and attended to by a St.Johns whilst the game went on.Now the clown stays where it happened--awaiting the medics/the doctor/the acc rep/the Health and Safety officer/the physio/and all the other hangers on.

Gee these so called Pro rugby players are pretty weak and soft.I recall one great All Black in the 1956 Epic batles with the Boks playing like a roaring lion and he was injured. And what about Pinetree--playing with a broken arm???Heh?These pampered goons only have to feel a twitch and they are looking to go off.
