Bubba Watson has somewhat of a cult status on the US PGA Tour partly due to his 'home-made' golf swing, country upbringing and videos like this..

And a YouTube video of Watson promoting a hovercraft golf cart will only add to that.

The video has gone viral and according to various sources including Yahoo! Sports and USA Today, it's real.

Named BW1, the hovercraft is probably the easiest way to retrieve a golf club you threw in the lake (it smoothly goes over water) and keeps you off those annoyingly bumpy cart paths.

"Golf carts have looked the same. They've been the same. You've got to stay 30 yards from the green, you've got to stay on the cart path when it's raining," Watson says in the video.

"Let's have fun. Let's go through the water hazard, come off the other side right by the green, putt your ball in the hole then you can drive back across the water hazard. Who doesn't want to do that?"
