Doubts have emerged over whether Carlos Tevez will ever play again for Manchester City.
The Sun says the Argentine striker, 27, is out for at least a month having torn a hamstring in the 3-0 defeat at Liverpool on Monday.
And his future at the club is now in doubt, with the player having twice made requests to leave City over the past year.
City's captain was hoping to help the club to FA Cup glory as a leaving present but now it is doubtful whether he would even make the final if City were to beat Manchester United in tomorrow's semi-final.
City boss Roberto Mancini, though, is more worried about now and missing Tevez for the last-four clash.
He said: "I'm disappointed. Carlos is an important player for us and for this game.
"But this is football, it can happen in every game. They are playing without Rooney and we're playing without Tevez."
Tevez's advisors are now looking at a new challenge for the player in Italy or Spain.
