Twitter abuse aimed at Aberdeen keeper Jamie Langfield after the club's defeat to Celtic is being investigated by police, reports BBC News.

An error by Langfield handed Celtic a 1-0 victory on Saturday.

However the custodian was then abused on the social networking site about a brain seizure he had last year.

Teammates have offered their support and Grampian Police said they were making inquiries into a complaint about Twitter comments.
