Dundee United boss Peter Houston admits he wants to avoid drawing Liverpool in the Europa League third qualifying round today.
The Tangerines find themselves in the early stages of Europe's second tier club competition after finishing fifth in the Scottish Premier League last season and will find out today who they take on for a chance to gain entry into the group stage proper.
Among the clubs United can be drawn against are Inter Milan, Marseille, last season's runners-up Athletic Bilbao and FC Twente but Houston wants most to avoid Liverpool as he feels they won't stand a chance.
"I'd rather avoid Liverpool in terms of us getting to the next round. Their quality and class would make it very tough," he said after his side were beaten 1-0 by the Reds' Merseyside rivals Everton in a friendly last night.
"In terms of the budgets we shouldn't be able to compete.
"The other sides that we could draw would represent a different challenge and style but there aren't any I'd be afraid of playing.
"We would just like a bit of luck after going out to Slask Wroclaw and AEK in the last two seasons."
