Mesut Ozil believes Germany are good enough to take out Euro2012.
The Real Madrid star has been a key part of the Die Mannschaft outfit which has swept all before them on the way to the semi-final where they take on Italy in Warsaw on Thursday.
With that tasty fixture on the horizon, Ozil is confident that Joachim Low's German side can make it through to the July 1 final in Kiev and beat either Spain or Portugal in the decider.
"We knew before the tournament that we have a strong team," he told UEFA.com. "We believe in ourselves and the goal is to return to Germany with the title.
"That's why we are here and I am convinced we can do it.
"We are concentrating on the here and now. We are looking forward to the semi, which will be very difficult. But we are confident we can beat anybody.
"Italy are surprisingly strong. You could also see that in the very good match they had against world champions Spain. I think they deserve to be in the semi-finals. They are compact, very strong, but in general we look only at ourselves.
"If we play as we can, I am convinced we will beat Italy."
