Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo wants former teammate Marcel Desailly to join his coaching staff according to Goal.com.
The 43-year old Ghana-born former France international has emerged as a key target for Di Matteo but it has been revealed that Desailly does not yet have his coaching badges.
Di Matteo was recently appointed permanently to the Stamford Bridge post after taking over as interim boss when Andre Villas-Boas was sacked in March and did a great job, leading the Blues to the FA Cup/Champions League double.
It is believed that Eddie Newton will stay on as assistant manager with Steve Holland remaining as assistant first team boss and now Di Matteo is hoping for ex-centre-back Desailly to join him in West London once he gets his license to coach.
