Levy assures AVB of full support if he takes Tottenham job

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has assured managerial target Andre Villas-Boas he'll have his full support should he make the move to White Hart Lane.

The Sun says in Villas-Boas, Tottenham feel they will be appointing a young coach with exceptional talent - despite his well-documented problems with senior players at Chelsea.

Unlike Chelsea's billionaire owner Roman Abramovich, Levy is prepared to take the pressure off the 34-year-old Portuguese coach when it comes to dealing with players and their agents.

The chairman is very hands-on and will leave Villas-Boas to concentrate on building a successful team on the field.

Although Everton boss David Moyes and Wigan manager Roberto Martinez have been mentioned as possible targets, Tottenham's fans have been none too impressed with their credentials and made it clear they would not be overly impressed if either man was approached.
