Tottenham have been told to hold fire on AS Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

Spurs had hoped to lure the Bosnian to White Hart Lane in January, having failed to add him to their ranks during the last transfer window.

But agent, Michele Gerbino, said: "It is difficult to see Miralem moving during the season but we will look at the sums at the end of the season."
