Everton boss David Moyes is excited by the preseason form of new signing Steven Naismith.

Moyes signed Naismith from Rangers in the wake of the Scottish giants' financial chaos.

Moyes said: "I'm sure he will turn into a really good Everton player. He's got great attributes, he's got energy and he's got a goal-scoring record.

"Also, he can play two or three positions and we need a bit of versatility."
