Alessandro Nesta will travel with new club Montreal Impact for this weekend's clash with Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium.

The former AC Milan star will be in the touring party for the trip to Houston but it is uncertain if he will even make the matchday squad. <p impact head coach jesse marsch has suggested that who played a full match in an training game may not even figure in his final line-up including as he looks to get to full fitness after a slow p> Nevertheless, Marsch said Nesta will be able to assist the team despite the fact he is not yet ready to take his place on the pitch.

"Alessandro's going to help our whole team in terms of his ability to see things, to identify things, to read plays," Marsch told reporters.

"He talks a lot with the guys; first half, he was even talking to Zarek [Valentin], talking to him about different things.

"So when you have a guy that has played at the level that he's played at and has the experiences that he has, it's a resource not just for the players, but also for the coaching staff. For all of us."
