Manchester City and Chelsea have been alerted over Edinson Cavani's new contract demands at Napoli.

The Uruguay international centre-forward is a top target for both Premier League clubs and his representatives are in Italy this week for negotiations over an improved deal.

Tuttosport says Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has been shocked by Cavani's demands of €5 million-a-year - which is much more than his latest offer of €3.2 million-a-year.

For City and Chelsea, the prospect of paying around £90,000-a-week won't put them off going for the striker.
