Inter Milan veteran Walter Samuel says they'll take seriously the Europa League.

The Nerazzurri scraped to a disappointing sixth place in Serie A this season.

"Next season we want to go back to winning. The Europa League is one of our objectives, especially as if we win this then we can play the European Super Cup. That's the only trophy we failed to lift in the year of the Treble," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We will prove that we're not finished. Winning is in our DNA and the difficulties of the last few months were just stepping stones on the journey.

"My teammates and I are still hungry for success and proved that in the final weeks of the campaign. Winning the Europa League to then fight for the European Super Cup in Montecarlo is in our plans. We can write history again."
