MMA fighter suffers fractured penis

December 19, 2012, 1:20 pm

MMA fighters prepare themselves for injury - with the inherent violence of the sport there's no way to avoid it.

But welterweight MMA fighter Ray Elbe suffered probably the most devastating injury of all - and not in the ring.

Elbe was in Malaysia preparing for an MMA tour when he... well, let's just say he was enjoying the companionship of his girlfriend.

Unfortunately that resulted in an horrific injury to his penis.

In his own words from the Toronto Sun:

"Keeping it safe during sex isn’t just wearing a condom," Elbe said in an online video message. "As it happened you can imagine the shock and the horror that was going on. Obviously my girlfriend was frantic. We’re in a foreign country that doesn’t speak English.

"I came forward with (the injury) because I really want people to understand the significance of the emergency," Elbe said.

"As I Googled this online, a lot of guys actually get to the point where there is no repair because they’re embarrassed and don’t go to the emergency room right away."

Elbe is hoping to get the go-ahead to get back into training today. We just hope that no fighters hit below the belt.

Here's the (very upfront) Elbe talking about his injury (NOT SAFE FOR WORK):

Get well soon, Ray!

Youtube is a medium where any bozo can say something and feel like they are important. People experience all kinds of horrific injuries and don't go and blab it to the world. I think a chance for some publicity, but really exposes him for the bone-head that he is, biut he isalso telling the world that he has a small #$%$ Poor #$%$
