The New Zealand Breakers have secured back-to-back NBL titles after a strong second-half performance was enough to see off the Perth Wildcats.

The home team had the best of the early play but a strong performance from Matty Knight gave the visiting Wildcats the half-time advantage.

But the Breakers lifted their intensity in the second half and a couple of big three-pointers from CJ Bruton in the final quarter gave Perth too much to do.

Gary Wilkinson starred for the Breakers, top scoring with 23 points in the 79-73 win in front of a sell-out Vector Arena - but it was veteran CJ Bruton who walked away with the Larry Sengstock medal for MVP during the finals.
