Luka Modric has made it clear to Tottenham he wants to join Real Madrid.

AS says Modric met with Spurs chiefs over the weekend and told them: "I only want to play for Real".

Real are close to striking an agreement with Spurs for the Croatia international, who has already settled on personal terms.

The latest offer is €35 million plus former Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho in exchange for Modric.

Manchester United and Chelsea remain keen, though Modric's mind is made up.
