Last year on the cricket sites "Dirk Smith" was clearly an alias called "Dylan" aka Wharfie. Unlike "Wharfie' who claims he works on an oil rig in the Gulf, "Dylan" claimed he used to play county cricket in England for a considerable number of years! He's a busy man(?) woman (?) isn't he! "Wharfie" probably has about ten internet browsers set up with a different alias for each browser. His problem is that he keeps forgetting who he is, what he has said, where it was, when it was!

I know this is a rugby forum - when it isn't being hijacked by people who want to talk soccer, or discuss their homosexuality issues - but anyway, just read an article about golf caddie Steve Williams -

This Dirk Smith sounds like some gay ,obese , clumsy soccer hooligan / cricket expert .Doesn't sound too real to me as most cricket players prefer rugby .

Ooooo here we go again - the #$%$ with the multi ID fixation is back on his soap box. Never heard of Dirk Smith but in the eyes of a #$%$, that is actually proof that I am Dirk Smith!!!. While some of you are tired of Wharfies claims of 'male groping', and he says it over and over....but he is right! It's like in a murder trial, the defence keeps getting annoyed with the CCTV evidence proving the defendant is guilty. It may be annoying but there's no escaping it. Normal males do not roll around with their heads between another males legs. It really is that simple. Wharfie has outsmarted you with a simple fact and all the spin you want to put on it will not change the facts.

And come on!! Athletes?!!! Oh please!! Some of these "athletes" would be described as the 'fat one' in a sumo ring. They only jog for a few minutes per game and spend most of their time on the ground enjoying themselves under a pile of men in a ruck or whatever that obscene play is called.

Ultimately on a global scale and not an antipodean scale or a NZ scale, not many care about the RWC. Most countries can not get enthused over such a slow boring game played by overweight males where the ball spends more time out of play than in play.

On that logic, when Wharfie tells a Yank he doesn't like rugby then that Yank can safely assume all Kiwis don't like rugby. Isolated anecdotes don't tell the story; the stat's do. And going by stat's and playing figures for rugby, Wharfie is correct in that hardly anyone does care.

I walked into the messroom earlier to see the tail end of an ESPN talk programme that had the news that NZ had won the rugby wc but in the caption on the screen it said "butt sniffers and feelers". Well,well well I thought.....knock me down with a feather....I am right again in how the majority of the world that actually knows what rugby is, perceives rugby.
