Yes I agree they should be in their traditional colours the English. Could someone please explain their change of uniform. Is it a psychological ploy?

The change kit design was approved by RFU officials, its a shirt for goodness sake.  Have a bit of pride in your own team and stop worrying about the cosmetics appearance of others. Also would it kill anybody in Christchurch to put up a Flag?

To the Argies I met in Pak n Save, whose crying now!

O k. All Blacks, wear white if RFU ok Pommes to wear Black. To me a change of traditional uniform makes no sense. I still say its a physychological ploy. Can someone in the Rugby Union official dom answer my query please.

Look the NZRU had no problem with it. Maybe you should be posting on a fashion site and flagging the rugby. At the end of the day England and any other team can choose a black strip. The ABs have an alternate white strip. C'mon Kiwis when did we get precious about such trivial things?

They looked stupid, played stupid & if they continue to play in that strip ( mark my words ) they will fall at the next hurdle. As for the numbers falling off - What the @#CK ??

Your right! the French played in White what dastardly mind games are they playing with the English.

Get a grip and enjoy the show.

Any game won in the last 10 minutes with teams taking a hammering with a try from nowhere is still a thrill regardless of the nations involved.

I was annoyed when I saw their alternative strip
If they had white shorts or white hoops on their socks
ok. I wouldn,t mind ... no they don,t want any of that
they want an "all black" strip

This was done to provoke New Zealanders
The English rugby union could at any time - even now
change  their strip to include a white band or sash
.. anything ..
I have always supported English teams and I like the English fans .. but this really irks me
Don,t be such a smart@rse England

Get over yourselves as somebody else said its a rugby strip not a religious order. NZ get so precious about everything if its not the haka or the strip they'd be crying about the green grass being an Irish psychological trick.

I think as mentioned earlier its more about the money men who keep the lights on, anyone remember the $250 AB shirts? well even though more reasonably priced whos had to shell out for a another shirt to support thier Team.

I'm pretty sure Its the "Change strip/Alternate" not the Home/Test strip.

But really white sash just be glad were not insisting on answering the Haka with Morris Dancing as well.

I think you may find that the English are not the only ones with a black alternate strip; Wales I know have black, a colleague wore hers on Friday when we had Black-Out day at work -

When it comes down to it, we won't care what colour shirts the All Blacks are wearing when they win the Final [against England I'm picking] so why don't we just enjoy the spectacle being played-out before our eyes -

Last RWC ..France's Blue jumper was ..Nearly black and you cried again..

Bunch of pussies!!...

Can't wait for you to CHOKE again...this knock out footy so anything can happen and will!!

Let be fair in 1987... it was postman playing milkmen and you did not let SA play..

What have you done since??  That would be NOTHING!!

Just keep talking yourselfs up...and be ready for a big fall.

Its win win for us...If you win it we will say well 24 years you have to win it sometime..The law of averages etc..Seeing as how only 4 teams can really win the cup!!

And if yo lose...CHOKERS LABEL WILL BE THE ORDER OF THE DAY ME THINKS!!

I like England's white jersey .Don't have a problem with the Black jersey . I prefer the style of rugby more than the style of jersey .
Ant.... When you call a team chokers you are inferring the only reason they lose is when they choke not because the opposition was better .Do you think sometimes the opposition may just be better ? By the way I am a kiwi and an All Black fan but I don't believe we have rights to winning only when we perform at our best are we good enough to maybe win.

I think England is very confused about their 'National colours' look at it- the cricketers play in dark blue' the netball team plays in red and the soccer players wear white-now the rugby players are wearing black!!!!!! They are a very confused nation and only want to copy NZ-does it make them play better-I done think so, poor Johnny Wilkinson-NOT!!!

I went to the game on Staurday - England vs Argentina and it was a shame that all their fans and supporters that have flown to support them, where in White and Red, with their faces painted and the red and white colours proudly worn to support them and here are their PLAYERS are in BLACK - just felt wrong!!!

The fuuniest part of this is the first time it was aired in NZ it was with a picture of Lomu in a white NZ shirt!! The problem is NZ are so far from Europe they have no idea what happens. It is purely Nike jumping on the soccer train to get more shirts worn out and about. Man UTD had a navy blue shirt a few years ago for the same reason!

Dr Fishead says 'Now listen here peg leg' ... Wow that's original, haven't heard THAT one before -

[Just as an aside, isn't it wonderfl that in our society we can create a virtual person, come up with a nom de plume and make 'snide' remarks ... How tough are WE hiding behind a nickname]

ANY-way, personally even though I think the black shirt looks best on the All Blacks, again I couldn't give a toss what colour shirt they wear.  If they win in any other colour are you going to insist that they return the cup?

Why did no-one complain when they played Scotland - back in '75 I think - wearing white?  Of all the colours they couild have worn, they chose white -

So let's not get hung-up on who wears what colour, just get behind the team you wish to support, wish them well and watch the All Blacks win in 6 weeks time -

'peg leg' ... Wonder how long it took him/her to think that one up ...

Soon their football team will play in yellow kit. But even their national flag and coat of arms are plagiarized so what do you expect.

Welsh rugby club, Neath has been wearing an All Black uniform since 1880, If anyone should be upset it should be them. NZ's original colours were the blue of Otago in 1884. The first NZ national team to wear black was the Natives in 1888. The first official NZ team (ie picked by the NZRFU) in 1893 wore black jerseys and white knickerbockers, it wasn't until the turn of the 20th century that the NZRFU selected team wore an all black strip.
Black is just England's change strip, just as NZ usually wear white jerseys as their second choice (sometimes silver/grey).

Ok i am sick of this debate here are my points

1) Its only a jersey

2) Scotlands jersey is almost black at this RWC as well

3) As someone else has said already our other strip is white - no complaints from the English with that

4) Most importantly an English Club side where the FIRST to wear an all black jersey and still do

I think we need debates about more important issues this is a pathetic subject as I go to games to watch rugby not stare at the colour of someones jersey
