The All Blacks have moved to put their Tri-nations heartache behind them with a whitewash-clinching 32-19 victory over the Wallabies in Tokyo.
Daniel Carter top-scored once more for New Zealand with 22 points and both Sitiveni Sivivatu and Conrad Smith chipped in with a try apiece as Australia were put to the sword.
But it was captain Richie McCaw who walked away with the man of the match award after a peerless performance.
He put an early mistake behind him to lead from the front and his brilliant handling and support was essential for Sivivatu's try.
Here's how Yahoo!Xtra rated the All Blacks:
1. Tony Woodcock - Never had the upper-hand that you come to expect of Woody, but will be happy enough with his display. 6
2. Andrew Hore - Good throwing and great steal on his own line to deny the Wallabies. Cemented his spot as the number one hooker. 7
3. Neemia Tialata - Steady but quiet night for the Wellington player. Replaced in the 47th minute. 6
4. Brad Thorn - A tough old campaigner, rarely misses a tackle and hits hard. 6
5. Tom Donnelly - Stole early lineout ball and showed up well in only his second test with a hand in Sivivatu's try. Replaced in 65th minute. 7
6. Adam Thomson - Solid on own lineout ball but made a real nuisance of himself with Wallabies' ball. Pinged a few times at the ruck and that blotted his copybook. 8
7. Richie McCaw (c) - Dropped the ball cold after Carter's break but made it up for it with brilliant handling for Sivivatu's try. Peerless after that. 8
8. Rodney So'oialo - Missed a couple of tackles which almost cost the All Blacks dear. Will have to improve to hold off Kieran Read. Replaced after 53 minutes. 5
9. Jimmy Cowan - Unlucky to be pinged for kicking at the scrum early on. Passing was crisp and good and he kicked well. 7
10. Dan Carter - Looked back to his best early on but found it difficult to break the Australian line. Didn't look fully fit in the second half but kicking was excellent. 7
11. Sitiveni Sivivatu - Handling at times is still a let down, but was on the end of a brilliant move for his try. Deservedly yellow carded for terrible tackle on Adam Ashley-Cooper which turned the game briefly. Knocked on as he closed in on a second try. 6
12. Ma'a Nonu - Bustling without ever being destructive. Good tackle on Wycliff Palu dislodged the ball as he came close to a try. 7
13. Conrad Smith - Very quiet first half but always classy and scored a great try. Will be happy on his return from injury. 6
14. Cory Jane - Great break after turnover on the All Blacks line. Brilliant offload in run up to Smith try and solid under the high ball. 7
15. Mils Muliaina - Played a big part in Sivivatu's try. Got into the line as he always does but never dominant going forward. 6
Replacements:
16. Corey Flynn - Stayed on the bench
17. John Afoa - On for Tialata in the 47th minute. 5
18. Jason Eaton - On for Donnelly in 65th minute. 6
19. Kieran Read - On for So'oialo in the 53rd minute. 6
20. Brendon Leonard - Stayed on the bench
21. Stephen Donald - On with Carter with 90 seconds left.
22. Zac Guildford - Stayed on the bench

I Agree, i.e if McCaw lead from the front and played the way he did such as his role in the Sitiveni try maybe a score of 9 or 10 should have been awarded.
These ratings are crap. Always a 5 or up, always an 8 or less. Why bother doing 1-10 if the other numbers aren't used? The lowest i've ever seen is a 4. You're a critic, you're allowed to be over the top.
