Powerful loose forwards Faifili Levave and Jack Lam have signed on for another year with the Hurricanes, the Super Rugby franchise confirmed on Friday.
The signings take the Hurricanes' number of contracted players for next season to 21.
Levave, who played his 50th game for the Hurricanes in last Friday's 28-25 win over the Chiefs, says it's an exciting time to be part of the Wellington-based team.
"I'm stoked to be with the Canes again next season. This year the boys have really stepped up and we'll only get better with the more experience we have together," he said.
Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett was delighted with Levave and Lam's commitment to the franchise.
"Faifili's work rate this year has been massive. He was fourth in the team this season with the amount of tackles made, but second when you look in comparison to minutes played," Hammett said.
"Jack is a consistent performer and hard worker on and off the field. He is a big team player and it's great to have him back for 2013."The Hurricanes have secured all their loose forwards for next season, with the exception of All Black Victor Vito, who is in discussions with the New Zealand Rugby Union.
