Michelle Vittese Biography
An All-American at the University of Virginia in 2010, Vittese passed up the 2011 season with the Cavaliers to join the U.S. national team. She scored a goal in the gold medal-winning match against Argentina at the 2011 Pan American Games, helping the U.S. earn an Olympic bid for London. Things continue to look up for Vittese, who was named the U.S. Field Hockey Player of the Year in early June. In 2007, Vittese was named to the U.S Under-21 team, but an injury in 2008 kept her from competing in the Junior Pan Am Games that year.
