New Zealand sailing team chases two golds at games

The New Zealand sailing team begin their medal chase tonight in Weymouth.

New Zealand is competing in nine of the ten classes, with experienced Olympians in the first two classes racing.

New Zealand has at least five serious chances for medals and it would be a big disappointment if New Zealand does not win at least two sailing medals.

Day one of sailing features New Zealanders Dan Slater in the single-handed fin class and in the two-handed star keel boat is Hamish Pepper and Jim Turner.

Both Slater and Pepper have sailed in previous Olympic regattas, they know what they are in for and have

the talent and potential to make the podium.
