Real Madrid have started playing games early ahead of their crucial Champions League clash against Barcelona tomorrow by accusing the Spanish giants of racism.
In a video put up on the club's official website, Real have claimed their Brazilian full-back Marcelo was called a monkey by Sergio Busquet as Barca won the first leg of the clash 2-0 at the Bernabeu last week.
The video shows Busquest allegedly mouthing "mono, mono" which is Spanish for monkey.
Real's assistant boss Aitor Karanka also followed up the video with his own attack their bitter La Liga rivals as the sides prepare to face each other for the fifth time this season.
With controversial boss Jose Mourinho absent at their Champions League press conference Karanka made his views clear."There have been racist insults made by Barca players while they covered their mouths. We'd like those players not to be on the pitch for the return.
"UEFA has T-shirts saying respect and fair play. But there are going to be players at the Nou Camp who don't respect this sort of thing."
But Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has hit back saying:
"Racist? I know my players, all of them. They are an example of professionalism, of honesty. They love the values of the sport."
Real Madrid face Barcelona in what Is sure to be a fiery clash at the Nou Camp in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals tomorrow.
