Kiwis fly home early

Newstalk ZB - November 8, 2009, 3:11 pm

The Kiwis are on an early flight home from England after a 20-12 loss to the hosts at the Four Nations league tournament in Huddersfield.

England will play Australia in the final next week after exacting revenge on New Zealand for last year's semi-final defeat at the World Cup.

Kiwis' captain Benji Marshall says he has been left feeling dejected. Marshall says they left their worst performance until last.

England took a commanding 18-6 lead at halftime after an error-ridden opening 40 minutes from the Kiwis. A converted try to Ben Matulino after the break got the Kiwis back into the match, before Kevin Sinfield sealed the win for England with a penalty.
