New Zealand Cricket is confident a new Black Caps coach will be appointed by the end of the year, in time for the Bangladesh home series starting in February.
New Zealand Cricket chief executive Justin Vaughan says they have received a number of strong inquiries from both here and abroad. He says the position will not be openly advertised and instead New Zealand Cricket will identify potential candidates they want to talk with.
Vaughan says it will be a thorough process and there is no rush as it is important they make the right appointment.
