Yankees win World Series

The New York Yankees have won their 27th baseball World Series and their first crown since 2000, beating the defending champion, Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 in game six.

New York took the series 4-2, with a game to spare.

It is Yankees captain Derek Jeter's fifth World Series ring and he says it feels better than he remembers.

JapanÂ’s Hideki Matsui has been named MVP of the World Series after batting in six runs in game six.

    Yeah i think Chase Utley played great in all games but matsui i think was a great choise for the MVP award.Congratulations Hideki Matsui.GO YANKEES

    Great i watched all the games & I'm happy with Matsui getting the Mvp but i do think Utley may count himself unlucky at the same time.
