Former Tottenham boss Terry Venables believes his old club finish in the top four this season.
El Tel is backing Andre Villas-Boas to improve Spurs' fourth place finish last term.
He wrote in The Sun: "I fancy Tottenham, under new boss Andre Villas-Boas, to finish third, even without Luka Modric.
"The midfield star looks to be on his way to Real Madrid and while they will need to replace him, AVB's squad still looks strong."
