Before the Olympics German diver Stephan Feck would have been hoping to make a golden splash at the London Aquatics centre – instead he was left red-faced and sore-backed after what is now being hailed one of the worst Olympic dives ever.
Feck, yes that is his real name, was attempting a forward, three and a half somersault pike in the qualifying round of the men's three-metre springboard when he slipped off the board.
Feck then lost control managing a painful looking back-flop into the pool with a loud splash.
After getting himself out of the pool Feck was consoled by his German teammate as his scored of zero was announced.
