The New Zealand men's basketball team has missed out on qualifying for the London Olympics, despite beating Angola in a qualifying tournament in Venezuela.
The injury-hit Tall Blacks beat the strong African team 68-64, with Tai Webster scoring 21 points, Leon Henry 15 and Robert Loe 13.
However, the points difference was not enough for them to qualify for London, after they had earlier lost heavily to Macedonia 62-84.
Angola beat Macedonia and those two teams will progress to the next round.
Twelve nations are chasing the final three places on offer for London at the tournament in Caracas.6-4 7(10)-6

Not good news from Headingly for @BLACKCAPS I'm afraid: heavy rain means play is unlikely before lunch http://t.co/38l6Cygc5r

Tough to wake up on the day of the draw for a slam and not be in it! Was hoping it was a bad dream... #reality
The Players ended nearly two weeks ago and it’s long past time to move on and talk about golf.
@cartadizucchero at least I was half right
Play on day one of the 2nd Test at Headingley has been abandoned due to ongoing rain. Forecast looking better for tomorrow. ^JP
