Tiger Woods' niece Cheyenne has followed in her uncle's footsteps - and thankfully it's on the course she's emulating him.

Uncle Tiger has gone through his fair share of pain on- and off-course over the last few years since his infamous car crash.

But Cheyenne may be about to make her own name in professional golf after claiming her first title earlier today.

After missing the cuts in her first two tournaments, and finishing second last week she has won the 54-hole SunCoast Ladies Series event.

And it wasn't even close - Cheyenne was able to put the stormy weather behind her and claime a four-shot victory.

Uncle Tiger, of course, was proud of his niece's achievement - he sent a congratulatory tweet to his millions of followers:

Congrats to my niece Cheyenne on winning her first professional event on SunCoast Ladies Series Tour! Won by 4, very proud.

Let's just hope she can keep some of the ahem... less desirable traits of her uncle out of her game.

Go girl, make Tiger proud and be proud of him, the greatest, never mind journalists stupid comments and the small minded critics who, none of them are ,or will ever be other than nobodies in thier small world.

' On the course' ? Why this nasty innuendo. Why doesn't the gutter press get over Tiger and move on. As if the 'press', in general, has been so honest with their reporting of late.
