AC Milan chief Ariedo Braida says they remain hopeful of bringing Kaka back from Real Madrid.

Real Madrid could well be willing to release Kaka on loan, but his wages are still too much for Milan to handle.

"What stage are the talks for Kaka? That's the million-dollar question," smiled Braida on SpazioMilan.

"The situation is in stand-by, we will wait to see how we can resolve the problem that you already know about.

"Of course his return would make everyone happy, as Kaka is a lad we all care about and he made history with the Rossoneri. Obviously we'd be pleased to have him back with us."
