Nelsen scores for Rovers

All Whites captain Ryan Nelsen has scored for Blackburn Rovers in a 3-1 Premier League football win over Portsmouth.

Nelsen scored in the 73rd minute.

He will soon be heading for Manchester Airport to make his way to Wellington for Saturday's World Cup qualifier.

Elsewhere Tottenham has beaten Sunderland 2-nil, Aston Villa has thumped Bolton 5-1 and Manchester City and Burnley have drawn 3-all.

In the English Championship, All Whites striker Rory Fallon scored for Plymouth Argyle in a 2-1 win over Doncaster.
