Spurs tell Real Madrid to include Sahin in offer for Modric

Tottenham want Real Madrid to include Nuri Sahin in their bid for midfielder Luka Modric.

Spurs are ready to sell the want-away Croatian, with Real now favourites ahead of Manchester United for the �30 million-rated midfielder.

Marca says Tottenham have told Real to include Sahin in their bid for Modric.

United are expected to rival Real for Modric, should Spurs indicate they're now prepared to sell.

sorry alan u are wrong. van der vart can't replace modric or fill in for him. he can't def or play for 90min, more like 60min. have u watch sahin on u tube, no. u need to look. he is what we need and play 4-2-3-1, parker/sandro holding with bale/van der vart/sahin with cover sigurdsson/lennon/tom/livemore/townend

Sell Modric, ok, but we don't really need to worry too much about a direct replacement. We have enough cover with the likes of Van Der Vart, who would be more than capable of filling his shoes, also this would eliminate the issue of fitting our squad around him! I know that this would mean him playing in a slightly deeper position than what he may be used to, but he has showed on the international front that he is more than capable!
