Links of the Week

After a week on lying in the Samoan sun I've returned to ensure readers get their weekly dose of sporting links.
Without further ado here are some videos and interesting stories from the week including tennis players going off, a brilliant cycling gag and the cutest video of the year.
Over the top?
Emmanuel
Adebayor rubbed salt into the wounds of his former team after scoring
for Man City against Arsenal last weekend in a 4-2 win. The striker
ran the length of the field to celebrate right in front of the visiting
Gunners fans. Watch the video of the Arsenal fans reacting to the
move. Was he right to do it? After the stick he got from them maybe,
but it will make the return fixture all that more interesting.
Cute video of the week
When you attend a baseball game it's always special when you catch a
foul ball, some fans can attend hundreds of games but never get their
hands on a ball. So you've go to feel for this father who makes a great
catch, only to have his little daughter throw the ball away. Turns out they got a ball in the end anyways.
FIGHT!
I'm
not too crash hot on the rules of lacrosse but I'm pretty sure more than
three minutes of fighting is not a usual part of the sport.
Tweet of the week
Has to go to Andy Roddick who managed to poke fun at himself and Kanye West at the same time.
Tattoo of the week
This gridiron player obviously thinks highly of himself.
Drug mule
When
a soccer coach offers you a spot on the team if you bring 500 grams of
heroin into India, you should probably look at joining other teams.
She said what?
The now infamous Serena Williams incident in which she threatened to jam a tennis ball down the throat of a lineswoman.
He said what?
And just for good measure here's the Roger Federer video where he had a go at the chair umpire.
Name of the year
And the winner of best name in sports for 2009 is.....
Angry coaches
The NFL season started last week and since I love me some football, there will be plenty of NFL links in the coming months. Here's some angry NFL coaches.
Great way to win
And here's another NFL link, this one coming from the Denver Broncos freak last second win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Fake Tour finish
Another great gag by Rémi Gaillard, this time setting up a fake finish to a cycle race to punk unsuspecting Sunday riders. This one was courtesy of our Twitter friend and wit extraordinaire Richard Irvine. Check out his very funny site sportreview.net.nz.
Rally crash
A crazy rally crash where the driver manages to flip the car almost three times in mid-air.
